Based in the Philadelphia area, PA
with travel throughout the state of Pennsylvania

Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizers perform a wide range of duties focused on empowering workers to stand up for themselves and join with their co-workers to use their strength to win improvements on the job. An organizer’s work will include:

  • Worker outreach to generate organizing campaigns
  • Lead one-on-one and group meetings
  • Identify and develop workplace leaders
  • Build union organizing committees
  • Maintain accurate information on worksite sites and campaign activities
  • With direction, develop campaign literature
  • Organizing members during contract campaigns
  • Developing a basic understanding of labor law and regulations affecting union organizing


  • Previous worker or community organizing experience; NLRB organizing and healthcare preferred
  • Ability to work independently and a strong sense of accountability to shared goals
  • Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A working vehicle and a valid drivers’ license
  • A strong commitment to social justice

The majority of work will be based in the Philadelphia-area but organizers are required to travel and work throughout the state as campaigns require.
