Today, we represent the most highly skilled trowel trades craftworkers across the United States and Canada including bricklayers, stone and marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tile setters, terrazzo and mosaic workers, and pointers/ cleaners/ caulkers. With over a century of protecting the rights of our workers, BAC is the oldest continuous union in North America.
The Position:
The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) is seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to support its Membership Department in coordinating membership activities and providing excellent service to members and local unions. Responsibilities may include maintaining and updating membership records, processing membership-related documentation, responding to inquiries from members and local unions, coordinating membership activities and communications, researching and resolving membership issues, and assisting with the implementation and maintenance of membership policies and procedures. BAC, North America’s longest-serving trade union, is dedicated to organizing masonry craftworkers throughout the United States and Canada and strengthening the union by supporting the needs of its members, their families, and their communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research, verify, and update member information in Revenue Accounting Software (RAS) using documentation received from various sources
- Process documents from receipt through finalization, including scanning, indexing, electronic filing, and preparation of correspondence
- Respond to incoming telephone inquiries from members and Local Unions and provide professional assistance as needed
- Communicate with Local Unions to resolve discrepancies, clarify information, and obtain additional documentation as required
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the accuracy and integrity of member information and records
- Conduct basic research and retrieve information using Revenue Accounting Software (RAS) and BACWorks
- Prioritize and manage assigned work to meet established deadlines and departmental requirements
- Work collaboratively with department staff and provide assistance and coverage across department functions as needed
- Assist with the printing, quality control, and mailing of IU dues cards to members
- Prepare and distribute service awards, Gold Cards, Life member Certificates, and other membership-related materials
- Participate in cross-training and maintain a working knowledge of departmental functions, procedures, and processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management
Skills & Other Requirements:
- Prior experience in data entry, working knowledge of Revenue Accounting Software (RAS) preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with members and Local Unions
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive member information and records
- Experience with scanning and electronic document management preferred
- Self-motivated, dependable, and responsible, with a strong commitment to completing assigned work

Salary Range: $62,554.41 – $76,537.63
Schedule: Monday to Friday
