POSITON SUMMARY
The Member Leader Development Manager plays a critical role in strengthening worker power by supporting the identification, development, and sustainability of member leaders across the union. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, this position works closely with field staff to support them in ensuring that member leaders are effectively trained, coached, and supported to take on leadership roles within their worksites, campaigns, and the union.

While not a primary field role, the Specialist must understand field work realities and partner closely with organizers and field representatives to align training and leadership development with campaign and organizational priorities. This work is deeply aligned with the understanding that 32BJ members are blue collar workers with wide variety of literacy levels and many with English as a second language.
