Member Services Assistant

Job Description
The Member Services Assistant (MSA) is responsible for providing administrative support to the field team in all aspects of member services. This includes serving as the initial point of contact for members needing assistance both by phone and email. The MSA provides the highest quality customer service during the intake process, gathers necessary information from members, and supports the field team in other various member services. The assistant is responsible for accurate and timely processing of all membership records.
Job Duties
- Initial point of contact for members, potential members, visitors, and other stakeholders
- Answers phone and email intakes from members, gathers necessary information and documents, and completes general intake duties to support field staff
- Responds to routine requests for information from members and potential members
- Enters and maintains accurate member information in databases
- Processes membership forms
- Responds to opt out requests
- Reconciles dues
- Provides administrative support to the field team to ensure timely member support
- Assists the field team with events as needed
- Assists the communications team with mailings, printings, etc.
- Assists with new employee orientations and pre-disciplinary meetings
- Other duties as assigned to ensure member support

Salary & Hours
The Member Services Assistant is a full-time (40 hours/week) overtime eligible employee represented by the NAPE/AFSCME Staff Union (NASU) with a salary range of $20 – $30/hour based on experience. Single coverage health insurance is provided at no cost, and generous vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and retirement are offered. The work schedule is 8am-5pm Monday-Friday with a one hour unpaid lunch.
