IT Support Specialist

Job type: In-Person, 25-35 hrs/wk, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm with certain weekend work
Job Term: 6-9 month term with opportunity for permanent employment
Salary Range: $30.00 – $45.00+/hr DOE
Experience: Minimum 4 years with applicable certifications

Job Overview:
IATSE Local 44 is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to work in a small, fast paced, flexible team environment. This role includes maintaining and support of phone system, Zoom Workspace, desktop and mobile device management and other technical support coordinated with outside consultants. Also, working with the Communications Dept. on events and member communications and outreach. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Manage and resolve user inquiries and technical issues related to applications. Provide technical assistance and support to individuals and organizations using computer systems and software.
  • System Maintenance: Proactively maintain, troubleshoot, and provide training on all technology, including laptops, workstations, cell phones, cloud-based desk phones, printers, network equipment, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Microsoft 365 Management: Extensive experience managing the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra, and mail provisioning, management, and archiving.
  • Zoom & AV Support: Setup, maintain, and configure Zoom remote meeting equipment, including Zoom meetings and user accounts. Provide support for both on-site and remote participants, and setup audio, video, and computer equipment for events and meetings.
  • User Account Management: Establish, maintain, and manage user accounts, and install, modify, and maintain systems and utility software.
  • Phone and Device Support: Configure and support of Cloud phone service, desktop IP phones, and mobile phone app.
  • Licensing & Subscription Management: Maintain accurate records of software licensing and various subscriptions assigned to the IT Department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or related field.
  • Applicable certifications in IT systems, networking, and software (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing Microsoft 365, Exchange, cloud-based security measures, and system performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in Zoom setup, maintenance, and user management.
  • Experience with configuration, management and supporting business phone systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all departments in an organization; actively participate in supporting communications and membership outreach teams.
