Senior Research Analyst

The Action Center on Race and the Economy (ACRE) and ACRE Institute drive campaigns that seek to create a more racially and economically just society that values people over profit and supports the full inclusion and leadership of Black, brown, and poor people in our democracy and economy. Bargaining for the Common Good (BCG) is the organizing arm of ACRE and ACRE Institute.
The Senior Research Analyst will perform strategic campaign research in support of ACRE’s campaign and organizational goals. This position reports to the Senior Director of Research and works closely with ACRE staff and staff from partner organizations and unions.

Key Responsibilities
ACRE is seeking an experienced, mission-driven professional to join ACRE’s research team. This person will:
- Develop and execute strategic research plans in support of ACRE/BCG campaigns in collaboration with ACRE Senior Director of Research, the organizing and campaign teams, and local community and labor union partners
- Contribute to campaign strategy development
- Develop and present skills and content training for internal and external audiences
- Mentor and lead more junior researchers
- Project manage and lead research projects with ACRE staff and staff of partner organizations
- Write and edit reports and other publications
Qualifications
The person we need in this role:
- Has a strong commitment to progressive social change and racial justice and a passion for ACRE/BCG’s vision and mission
- Has at least years 8 years of experience performing strategic research in progressive organizing or advocacy organizations
- Has experience in corporate research, financial analysis, public records and legal research, campaign/opposition research, data analysis, and data management
- Has a track record of successfully developing, managing, and executing strategic research workplans for an organizing or advocacy organization or campaign independently and across organizations
- Can effectively coordinate collaborative research projects across organizations and develop and manage collaborative relationships with staff at those organizations
- Has effectively mentored more junior researchers
- Is willing to travel regularly as needed
- Is willing to work long and irregular hours when necessary
- Is a creative and strategic thinker
- Has a good sense of humor

The salary range for this position is $93,200 – 96,500. Position includes excellent benefits. Location is flexible within the contiguous United States. This position will be employed by ACRE Institute, a 501(c)(3) organization. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the ACRE Workers Union.
