JOB SUMMARY
Oregon Nurses Association is seeking two (2) temporary Contract Campaign Organizers to work in collaboration with the bargaining unit leadership and ONA staff to plan and execute a successful contract campaign that may include building to coordinated, multi-unit strikes. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION and will be employed for a period of six months.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A serious commitment to social and economic justice is required and the ideal candidate will have some prior experience with labor, political, community, or social justice organizing. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and automobile liability coverage or access to an insured vehicle is required.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be generally familiar with databases and basic office equipment. Experience with Canva and Hustle is preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a TEMPORARY full time, exempt position, which will be scheduled for 40 hours per week for a total period of 6 months. The salary is based on applicable years of experience applied to the wage scale outlined in the union staff ’s collective bargaining agreement.

ONA offers a monthly starting salary range of $6,499-6,824 depending on experience.

This position is eligible for benefits, and ONA also offers an exceptional benefits package including employer contributions (90%) to medical, dental and vision premiums, as well as employer paid long and short-term disability and life insurance. For this 6-month assignment, PTO will be provided in the amount of 40 hours of vacation time, 20 hours of personal time, and 48 hours of sick leave.
