Signatories Coordinator

What You’ll Do
The Signatories Coordinator assist with the overseeing process of obtaining financial assurances to secure DGA members’ economic rights, including security interests, assumption agreements, guarantees, and deposits. This individual will work closely with the Executive in Charge of Signatories and Signatories Manager to optimize processes and identify areas of improvement.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and summarizing chain of title documents and other production-related agreements such as financing agreements, distribution agreements, and director agreements.
  • Independently drafting customary financial assurances forms.
  • Regularly corresponding with producers, attorneys and members regarding the signatory process, clearly and accurately articulating guild policies.
  • Keeping internal database updated with the most current project information for interdepartmental use.
  • Timely filing documents with US Copyright Office and Secretaries of State.
  • Researching entertainment financing and corporate structure.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need
We want to make sure you’re successful. To be considered, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of legal experience.
  • Experience reading and interpreting contracts, reviewing chain of title, and/or performing lien searches.
  • Excellent research skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JD degree
  • Previous union or entertainment industry experience
