Job Title: Grant Writer
Location: Inland Empire/Southern California region
Salary: $80,000-90,000/year
Type: Full-time, hybrid (remote/in-person)

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to join our small nonprofit focused on empowering workers to uplift communities and families throughout the Inland Empire region. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in union organizing, workforce development, and/or community development. As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and securing funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations to support our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs
  • Develop grant proposals and applications that meet the requirements of potential funders
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather information and data to support grant proposals
  • Maintain a grant calendar and ensure timely submission of grant applications and reports
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising
  • Participate in meetings and events to represent our organization and programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit setting, preferably in the areas of union organizing, community and/or workforce development
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills
  • Demonstrated success in securing grants from government agencies, foundations, and corporations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
