Script Tracking Coordinator

The DGA seeks a Script Tracking Coordinator to work in the Guild’s national headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. A Script Tracking Coordinator plays an important role in the Contracts Department that is administrative and supportive; the primary duty will be administering the DGA’s script tracking program. Script Tracking Coordinators are a jack of all trades and have organizational skills, can communicate effectively, is comfortable with excel, can use multiple technological tools to keep track of scripts, and is process oriented. This position reports to the Assistant Executive Director.

Skills:

  • Perform calculations in Excel
  • Electronic filing
  • Use Take2/Atlas, an internal software in DGA
  • Comfortable with data analysis
  • Excellent communicator with studios, members, DGA staff and management regarding who is owed funds
  • Establish and meet cooperative deadlines
  • Verify payments are sent to correct parties
  • Work 4-5 related processes, simultaneously while pulling it together efficiently

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Executive who oversees television Directors to support contract enforcement
  • Oversight of the data entry performed by staff colleagues in DGA Reports Compliance department
  • Analyze and synthesize data to administer script-tracking system
  • Create and review reports and spreadsheets to analyze a significant amount of data
  • Knowledge of DGA contracts covering employment in television industry
  • Outreach to DGA members to discuss employment issues, economic rights & creative rights
  • File grievances, when necessary, with representatives from the studios to resolve contract disputes or file grievances if the dispute cannot be resolved
  • Support executive team in collective bargaining research and preparation
  • Pursue, collect, and distribute financial penalties

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with a team as well as independently
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills; proficiency with Excel
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and intellectually curious
  • Previous experience union representation preferred
  • Managerial experience in a data-reliant system is a plus

  • The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $63,000.00 annually along with excellent employee benefits and perks such as a 37.5-hour work week
