About the Position
Hiring immediately, Full-time Junior Web Developer to support SEIU Local 105 based in Denver and Aurora, Colorado.

Reports To: Information Technology Administrator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the IT and Communication Directors to ensure execution of strategic web design plans across Local 105 web presence and maintain an internal and external web sites.
  • Maintain and update template and code, adding functionality, optimizing website for speed.
  • Monitor web traffic, performance and capacity to identify, prevent and resolve issues.
  • Work with Communications team to enhance SEO ranking.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that all websites provide content and functionality that meets the business needs of the organization.
  • Ensure that all design elements, templates, and finished solutions work within a variety of browsers and devices
  • Work with Communications staff on style and approach for all projects.
  • Participate in efforts to improve the quality of websites.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field or relevant experience:
  • Experienced in at least one of CMS platforms: WordPress (Preferred), Craft, etc.
  • Experienced at coding clean, accessible HTML and CSS3 sites according to web standards
  • Front-end code optimization for better performance
  • Experienced with JavaScript/jQuery
  • Experienced with GIT
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Proficient in MySQL Databases, cPanel, and PHPMyAdmin
  • Graphic/Web Design experience or familiarity is a plus!

Preferred skills:

  • Ability to speak and write Spanish is preferred.
  • At least one year of recent experience as a Web developer
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Creative, enthusiastic, flexible and collaborative person
  • Experience building public-facing, responsive websites that work elegantly across all browsers
  • High standards regarding quality of code and quality of user experience
  • Familiarity with unions, the progressive political movement and/or healthcare policy is preferred.
  • Experience working with VAN, and NGP EveryAction.


  • Salary in the range of $40,000-$45,000, commensurate with experience.
