About the MRCC:
The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights (MRCC) is a labor union representing over 14,000 carpenters and millwrights across the state of Michigan.

Position Summary:
The MRCC is seeking Field Organizers to work on competitive state legislative races across Michigan from June 11 to August 7, with an option for extension through the November election. This entry level position will be responsible for direct voter contact, as well as recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer networks. Field Organizers will aide campaign staff in managing and executing voter contact tactics such as phone banks, canvasses, voter registration drives, and visibility events. Field Organizers should be high energy, outgoing, and enthusiastic.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Organizational skills and ability to meet goals and strict deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Some travel is required;
  • Commitment to the values of organized labor;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Other duties as needed.
