"We are the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council #57 of Western Pennsylvania. Our Union represents over 2500 members including painters, paperhangers, drywall finishers, glaziers, and industrial members. We were formed in 1999 when Local Unions #6, #409, #530, #751, #2006, #479, #549, and #1968 were combined into one council. Our goal is to represent all of the men and women who wish to work at our trades in Western PA, to help them achieve a career with good wages, benefits, safety, and dignity in the workplace. We are a member of the AFL/CIO."
