IBEW Local 1381 is Long Island's Professional, Technical, Administrative & Clerical Union. Local 1381 represents many professional and office workers in a sector where there is tremendous growth potential.

Organizers
Organizers are committed to helping workers win social and economic justice on the job through building strong unions. Organizers are responsible for all aspects of assisting on union organizing campaigns, including researching and developing leads, campaign start-up, committee building, assessments, developing literature and running meetings and workplace actions.

An organizer with Local 1381 must also have good writing skills, an ability to inspire participation from the ranks and must be willing to assist union staff in internal organizing. We are looking for organizers with an ability to empathize and build relationships with workers in varying industries especially in the technical, administrative, clerical, office and professional sectors. Also the organizer must show a commitment to union organizing, leadership experience and an ability to work long and irregular hours.
