NORTHERN CALIFORNIA OPERATIVE PLASTERERS

Plasterers apply plaster and cement products to walls and ceilings in various applications. A plasterer also does some decorative and molding work, achieving various textures, colors, and finishes on final applications.

Applicants must possess physical fitness sufficient to perform the work of the trade.

Employment Prospects:

Listed number of openings. Subject to climatic and economic conditions.

Wages start at various rates depending on the area. Training consists of on-the-job training days, with related classroom training.

San Jose

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum age of 18 years.

Length of Apprenticeship:

Four (4) years with a minimum of 6,000 hours.

Sacramento

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum age of 16 years with parents approval.

Each applicant will be listed in order of the date of acceptance of his/her application, and will be referred in accordance with this listing. All applications who are seeking employment will contact the Union every fifteen (15) days to advise of his/her present status.

Fresno

The Fresno Area Plasterers Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee is accepting applications for "Plasterer" apprentices on a continuous basis between the hour of 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Tuesday through Thursday (holidays excepted) at:

Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. They must have a High School Diploma, State of California High School Certificate of Proficiency, or a G.E.D. At time of making application, applicants must have a copy of High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and show proof of age.
