Oregon AFSCME Council 75 UNION ORGANIZER The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) is the largest and most powerful union in the AFL-CIO, representing more than 1.3 million working people. We have grown to be the biggest by engaging workers in the fight for justice, and we are winning! In Oregon, AFSCME Council 75 represents over 24,000 public and private sector workers and is one of the largest and fastest growing unions in Oregon. We are looking for individuals who are committed to helping workers win social and economic justice on the job through union power. Organizers are responsible for all aspects of assisting on campaigns. This is includes campaign start-up, committee building, assessments, writing leaflets and other materials and running meetings and workplace actions. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, automobile for business use and automobile insurance. Must be willing to work long and irregular hours.
