The
New York Hotel & Motel Trades Council, AFL-CIO, represents approximately
28,000 hotel workers in New York City. The Council has the strongest
contract for hotel workers in North America, and includes 9 local trade
unions from the following: UNITE HERE! (including Local 6), SEIU, OPEIU,
IBEW, USWA, IUP. We
have immediate openings for supervisory positions for intelligent, hard-working,
highly motivated lead organizers with a minimum of three years experience
in the labor movement. We offer a stimulating environment in a powerful
union that encourages and develops active rank-and-file leadership.
The
hotel industry in New York City has been experiencing a prolonged construction
boom and it is vital to our members, and to those who work without the
dignity of a union contract, that we maintain and improve union density
in the industry.

Salary and Benefits: Salary is negotiable
based on experience with a general range of $40,000-$70,000.
