The Health Professionals and Allied Employees is the largest professional health care union in New Jersey, representing over 10,000 nurses and other health care professionals. HPAE has an active organizing program, with membership more than tripling in the last nine years. HPAE has been a leader in the fight for quality patient care and the rights of health care workers.

JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS

Lead Organizers

Responsible for developing and leading large organizing campaigns, predominantly in hospitals. Must be able to build organizing committees, run meetings, work on campaign strategy, lead other organizers and produce organizing literature. Minimum of 4 years union organizing experience. Experience with NLRB elections is important.

Organizers

Responsible for initiating and participating in organizing campaigns. Applicants should have union organizing or related community organizing experience. Experience with NLRB election campaigns and ULPs is a plus.
