Minnesota Fair Trade Coalition

Seeking Executive Director for the
Minnesota Fair Trade Coalition

The Minnesota Fair Trade Coalition (MNFTC) seeks a State Director to further the goals of the organization. This is a part time (20 hours per week) position with the potential of evolving into a full time position.

The Minnesota Fair Trade Coalition is a part of Citizens Trade Campaign (CTC).   We are a state coalition comprised of labor, environmental, family farm, religious and civil society groups.  We oppose trade agreements which primarily benefit only multinational corporations, and support fair trade policies, such as the proposed TRADE Act, which promote prosperity across borders, protect the environment, and protect the rights of workers.

The qualified candidate will have the skills to grow and maintain the MNFTC, including a background in issue advocacy, coalition building, fundraising, media relations and grassroots lobbying.  The person selected for this position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective external relations with member groups, strategic allies, potential stakeholders and government officials. He or she will have overall responsibility for the implementation of activities within the organization.  The State Director reports to the Citizens Trade Campaign Director and MNFTC Steering Committee.

The deadline for applications is January 8th or until position is filled.
