ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
We are seeking a high-energy, mature, and well organized person with a social change background for a position that will be the primary administrative support for 2 senior staff persons; providing support for special projects, office organization, and meeting responsibilities for the senior staff. Must be experienced with a fast-paced work environment and capable of handling a multiple number of diverse assignments. Labor experience preferred, but not required. This position must be able to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform general administrative duties including answering phones, office organization, back up of receptionist and drafting correspondence.
- Relieve executive Staff of minor administrative and business detail
- Process and maintain grievance and arbitration files paying attention to contractual guidelines
- Contract Bargaining and organizing assistance as assigned
- Assist in the development, preparation and presentation of campaign material
- Coordinate special projects and prepare database reports
- Maintain filing system
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years administrative/office work, preferably in a social change environment
- Must be self motivated, flexible, and able to work independently
- Ability to succeed in a team environment
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and detail oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet).
