Major NYC based labor union needs Assistant Director for Contracts and Grievances. Responsible for managing department with multiple attorneys and 20 grievance representatives.
 
Applicants should have at least 5-10 years of experience working for or with labor unions and have a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements, grievance and arbitration procedures. Will be jointly responsible for administration of union's contracts, contract renewals and expirations.  Experience as a labor attorney is preferred, but not essential.
 
Must be able to work long hours in a dynamic, fast paced environment and have a demonstrated history of advocacy in the labor movement.  Bilingual-Spanish skills are a plus.   Must be systems oriented and familiar with basic computer technology.
