FIELD ORGANIZER

SEIU Healthcare Illinois-Indiana is a dynamic, action-oriented union of over 90,000 healthcare and childcare workers throughout Illinois and Indiana. As one of the largest and fastest growing affiliates of the Service Employees International Union, SEIU HCII is committed to building power for low and moderate income families by organizing low wage workers for economic and social justice.

The Field Organizer is responsible for organizing low wage workers to build power at the workplace and in the community to win living wages and benefits, dignity and respect, and a voice in decisions that affect their lives. The organizer is responsible for the design, implementation and analysis of a wide variety of campaigns, including external organizing, organizing for a contract, internal organizing, and community and political organizing. The organizer performs a wide range of organizing duties, which may vary according to location and assignment and which require the exercise of discretion and independent judgment. Car needed
