Opportunity for District of Columbia: Change to Win is seeking an experienced attorney to provide litigation support on a variety of cutting edge legal issues related to a CtW national campaign. The Legal Associate will conduct legal research and investigation to identify and develop litigation in a range of areas, including civil rights and employment/workplace issues as well as other areas. Responsibilities will include developing new legal theories, working with outside law firms and other outside organizations, and developing litigation, including talking to clients, evaluating evidence, and investigating and preparing cases legally and factually. Change to Win is a dynamic coalition of 7 of North America's most progressive labor unions and a leading force for social, racial and economic justice in our country today. Change to Win campaigns challenge America's largest corporations to take responsibility for how their business practices impact working families and their communities. Qualified applicants will have a law degree and 2-5 years of legal experience, preferably in civil rights/employment or a similar field. Additional experience in the field of corporate investigation or a related field is strongly preferred. Applicants should also have knowledge of the labor movement, a commitment to workers rights, and excellent research and writing skills.
