Change to Win is looking for a savvy grassroots e-organizer to develop and implement an online strategy for a community and coalition based campaign to win justice and improve the livelihood of workers.

The E-organizer is responsible for data management and list maintenance for a nationwide list of supporters, activists and websites. This position will develop and implement both the campaign website as well as an integrated strategy for an online outreach program to recruit and organize supporters and activists. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategic plan for online campaign to recruit and organize activists and supporters;
  • Database management: Conduct manual data entry and file imports and exports to ensure supporter and activist lists are up-to-date. Manage databases to maximize online activism.
  • Develop and implement messages and other on-line communications, identify and implement viral marketing strategies, respond to activists' information requests and evaluate the performance of online messaging.
  • Serve as campaign website manager and ensure that the website effectively promotes the online campaign, propose modifications to the website, ensure the website is current, evaluate website traffic and ensure search engine optimization on a regular basis.
  • Write/edit website text, email alerts, online publications and offline materials related to online campaigns.
  • Work closely with the CtW Campaign Director and other key staff.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the online activism field to keep CtW campaign on the cutting edge.
  • Organize online supporters to become activists and engage in real - world activities.

Qualifications:

BA degree plus a minimum of three years experience in some combination of e-campaigning on issues or elections and working on grassroots organizing, legislative, electoral and public relations campaigns. Successful applicants must be detail oriented, possess strong analytical skills, have experience managing multiple projects at once and be highly organized. Applicants must have strong computer skills including understanding of databases, understanding of concepts of HTML programming with keen eye for design, thorough knowledge of email techniques, flash experience and experience with graphics manipulation via Photoshop. Excellent writing and editing skills, along with ability to frame ideas to fit overall campaign goals and to distill information into compelling messages.

Must be a team player and enjoy the dynamics of a fast paced campaign. Demonstrated commitment to social justice and the labor movement.
