UNION STAFF

Time for a Change
Organize
with a real union —
NOT a company union!

Build a union with integrity, where your beliefs and skills are valued, where you can help create meaningful change in our healthcare system without compromising your ethics.

Across the country, we seek experienced organizers and labor representatives, dedicated directors, who want to return to the values that started them working in the labor movement, as well as activists who want to learn to become union organizers.

Train strong committees of nurse leaders with the power to fight and win improvements both inside the hospitals and outside in our communities.

Organize for member-based power, with a union that rejects corporate partnerships that sell out members, and opposes sweetheart deals with management.

Empower working women to transform the profit-driven healthcare industry into a healthcare system driven by patient needs.

For far too long, the healthcare industry has ignored the needs of nurses and patients, focusing instead on generating wealth for corporate investors. According to the National Institute of Health, 98,000 patients die in US hospitals due to avoidable errors and staff shortages. Nurses are on the frontlines, with inadequate support, trying to provide safe care and save patient lives.

The California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee (CNA/NNOC) is the fastest growing union in the nation. Our growth is based on our principles, and building a powerful movement of and for direct care nurses. We have negotiated the best Registered Nurse (RN) union contracts in the nation and are responsible for California's RN Safe Staffing Law - the first of its kind nationwide.

Do the work that you love, with a supportive team of highly competent grownups, where we treat each other with respect and pitch in to get the work done.

Excellent salary depending on experience. Generous benefits package, family and domestic partner coverage. In your cover letter please indicate your ability to travel, geographic preferences and restrictions. Send your résumé today to:
